Since expanding the PIC Foundation to California in 2023, we’ve positively impacted more than 7,452 Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals, and counting. We’re building bridges and breaking barriers through advocacy, accessible programs, services, and community-driven support that truly meet Deaf+ people where they are.
The B.R.I.D.G.E. (Believing in Rights, Inclusion, Deaf Growth & Equity) Deaf Advocacy Program addresses the systemic inequities that limit access to education, healthcare, employment, and civic participation for Deaf individuals. The heart of B.R.I.D.G.E. is advocacy and empowering Deaf individuals to build bridges where barriers once stood.
The ‘Silent Plates’ Initiative is a cornerstone program developed by our founder designed to address the unique and pressing needs of deaf+ children and their families in California. At its heart, Silent Plates is about more than food. Recognizing the unique needs and challenges faced by the Deaf community, this program goes beyond providing meals, it offers hope!
The PIC Foundation is proud to announce ‘PIC Me Up Mobility’, an accessible micro-transit program designed to remove transportation barriers for Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals across Los Angeles County. It will provide safe, accessible, reliable, and affordable rides to medical appointments, work, school, and essential services.
